Mammutmail.com’s satisfied the needs of large file senders since 2006. Actually it was developed for our own business purposes (sending large files to our clients) but afterwards we opened it to the public. In October 2012 the looks and all functions went through a complete remaking.
The new design includes a unique full screen ad unit (called wallpaper) where the ads are exposed while the senders or receivers are waiting for the up or downloading of their files. Not only static (gif) or flash elements but also video can be used in the ad.Our first advertiser Tchibo Cafissimo gained here 9% click-through-rate that beats the CTR of an average display ad unit appr. over a 100 times. The average dwell-time on the ad is 4:04 minutes, which makes the wallpaper of Mammutmail.com also suitable for branding besides the proven traffic generation.The content has also changed as comfort functions and new services has been added. We launched the real-time giant file sharing Mammutshare, and we introduced MammutPrém, which is an easy to personalize, ad-free, premium section of Mammutmail with expanded storage and longer storage time for a subsciption fee.
